  Diesel Service

Think about this: 7 out of 10 emergency generator failures are due to contaminated fuel.

Our mobile unit services all of the northeast!

New England Fuel Polishing offers on-site diesel fuel polishing, fuel treatment, and fuel maintenance programs. We use state-of-the-art SEPAR fuel, water, and particulate filtration equipment. Our system is self-contained, mobile, and is capable of reaching even the most isolated of fuel tanks.

If you have a diesel engine, diesel generator, or diesel storage tank, you should seriously consider this service! All industries can benefit:

  • Industrial
  • Hospitals
  • Marine
  • Construction
  • Emergency Generators
  • Generating Plants
  • Radio & Television
  • Wireless Transmitters
  • Home Heating Fuel Tanks

Are You Aware?
* In the Northeast, a typical winter will cause untreated diesel fuel to slush up and render it useless when you need it the most.
* Statistics show over 80% of diesel engine problems are from contaminated fuel.
* A single drop of water finding its way into an injector can blow the tip off.
* No matter how meticulous about fuel you are, dirt, water, and microbes will accumulate at the bottom of the tank.
* Today's diesel fuel can degrade as much as 20% in a month.
* Diesel fuel readily absorbs water.
* Water and heat in the fuel causes algae and microbe growth, resulting in sedimentation of the tank.
* Fuel polishing and treatment needs to be part of your regular scheduled maintenance program.
* Adding the proper fuel additives can extend filter change intervals, reduce the chance of engine shutdown, control water, rustproof the fuel system, and prevent microbial growth and sediment buildup in your fuel tanks.

Tell Me More...
The fuel polishing process typically consists of:
  • Step 1: Fuel is treated with high quality fuel additive (DZL PEP with AAT from Texas Refinery Lubricants) and Biobor to help break up and disperse dirt, sludge, and varnish-like deposits in the tank as well as kill microbes.
  • Step 2: Fuel is pumped from the bottom of tank with a high-speed pump. It passes through a highly efficient water separation and filtration system.
  • Step 3: Fuel is returned to the tank through a high-pressure wand, effectively pressure-washing the inside of the tank. Typically, the process requires three cycles of the tank contents through the system to achieve a proper level of cleanliness.
  • Step 4: Fuel polishing and treatment needs to be added to a regular schedule of maintenance to prevent costly engine failures.
